Eduardo V.C composed the Sons of Mezcal soundtrack using a collection of traditional Mexican instruments. He largely used the Quiote, also known as Trompeta Maya, which is fashioned from the towering, dense stalk which grows from the heart of matured agave plants. Eduardo found inspiration for the score’s tone in the texture and pacing of Don José Cortés’ voice. Eduardo’s emphasis on the Quiote’s sound was deeply influenced by the film’s focus on cultural traditions and its respectful, intimate portrayal of its subjects.

Composed in Mexico City by Eduardo V.C.
